Burning Bush I + II

This painting explores the Exodus story of the burning bush where Yahweh spoke to and affirmed Moses through the mouthpiece of a rooted bush. This piece echoes its original, but with a more intense and darker palette. It pays tribute to the integral role womanhood plays in our communities, especially as a spiritual anchor and source of sustenance, guidance and nurturing love.
